There's loads happening today, but our main piece — an interview with the co-founder of one of Britain's best-funded startups — looks at the excitement around his company building a platform which could level the playing field between chip companies, and give the UK some much-needed strategic cards.

In the Commons: The Science, Innovation and Technology Committee investigates the machinery of government changes from 9:30am. MPs will hear from the TBI's Laura Gilbert, Dom Hallas from the Startup Coalition, and president of the Royal Society Paul Nurse.

In the Lords: The Communications and Digital Committee quizzes Ofcom execs about the Online Safety Act from 2:15pm. They'll ask about the Act's impact so far and when it will be fully implemented.

Events: TechUK hosts a local public sector innovation summit at its Farringdon offices. In Brighton, TUC members vote on a series of AI motions covering copyright and workers' rights.
