Subscription Terms
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern paid subscriptions to The Morning Intelligence ("TMI", "we", "us"), published by The Morning Intelligence Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16904872). By purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms.
1. Subscription types
TMI offers three types of paid subscription:
Individual licence. An Individual subscription is licensed to one named subscriber for their personal use only. It is linked to a single email address, which should be the personal work or private email address of the subscriber. Individual subscriptions may not be purchased on behalf of, or for use by, more than one person.
Team licence. A Team subscription covers up to five named readers within a single organisation and includes the right to circulate TMI internally among those five named readers. Each reader receives their own copy at their own email address. The organisation may update its named readers at any time.
Site licence. A site subscription grants an organisation the right to circulate TMI internally without limit, including via internal email distribution lists, intranets, and internal messaging platforms. Pricing is based on organisation size and agreed individually. Contact editor@themorningintelligence.uk for a quote.
2. Permitted use
Subscribers may read, save, and print TMI content for their own use, and may quote excerpts externally and internally with attribution to The Morning Intelligence.
Individual subscribers may not forward or republish paid editions to or with any other person, whether inside or outside their organisation. This includes forwarding by email, posting to internal messaging platforms, uploading to intranets or shared drives, and sharing login credentials.
Team and Site subscribers may circulate paid editions within their own organisation in accordance with their licence.
3. Organisational use
If TMI paid content is being read regularly by more than one person within an organisation under an Individual subscription, the organisation requires a Team or Site licence. We monitor readership patterns and reserve the right to contact organisations where usage indicates sharing beyond the licence held, in order to move them to the appropriate licence. We may suspend or cancel subscriptions that are persistently used in breach of these terms, without refund.
But we'd much rather talk to you than cancel a subscription — if you think your organisation has outgrown its licence, get in touch at editor@themorningintelligence.uk and we'll sort out the right arrangement.
4. Intellectual property
All TMI content is protected by copyright and remains the property of The Morning Intelligence Ltd. No licence grants any right to reproduce, syndicate, scrape, or systematically extract TMI content, or to use it to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop machine learning or artificial intelligence systems, without our prior written agreement.
5. Payment and renewal
Subscriptions are billed either monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You will be notified a week before your renewal date and we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change affecting your renewal.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time via your account page or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, reduced proportionately for any editions already delivered with your agreement. Business subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law or where we have materially failed to provide the service.
7. Service
TMI is published each weekday morning, excluding UK public holidays and occasional announced breaks. TMI is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal, financial or investment advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with a subscription is limited to the amount paid for that subscription in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Privacy
We process subscriber data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Team and Site licence contacts are responsible for ensuring they have authority to provide the email addresses of their named readers.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and will apply from your next renewal. Continued use of your subscription after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. These terms constitute the entire agreement between us in relation to your subscription.
