Happy Friday, and what a week. I'll shortly be muting the feeds and going for a run.

Today's newsletter is a bit of everything, everywhere all at once. It covers lobbying on the social media and chatbot consultation, US-China talks on AI, and the Competition and Markets Authority's move on Microsoft. But first, what to watch next week...

Friday fun: The London Venture Capital Summit takes place at the Guildhall with speakers from Amadeus Capital Partners, Accel and the British Business Bank.

Deadline: You have one day left to tell DSIT how it should buy from UK AI startups.

Next Week: DSIT minister Patrick Vallance speaks on Monday about AI and work at the Making the Future Work conference. Tech secretary Liz Kendall was due to give the keynote but has pulled out due to the political chaos. In Parliament, MPs will debate the economic growth part of the King's Speech which includes the Regulating for Growth Bill.

On Tuesday and Wednesday King's College London hosts an AI Summit which also looks at the future of work.

The next chair of Ofcom, Ian Cheshire, gets grilled by MPs on the Science, Innovation and Technology Committee on Wednesday morning. It is also DSIT questions in Parliament at 11:30am. That evening Vorboss hosts an event on Women Leading DeepTech.
