Bring in the experts: DSIT minister Patrick Vallance, the TUC's Kate Bell, Phil Smith from Skills England and Erin Young from the Institute of Directors are among the speakers at the Making the Future Work conference in central London.

In Parliament: MPs debate the economic bills in the King's Speech, including the Regulating for Growth Bill. This afternoon DSIT minister Liz Lloyd will be asked about protecting underwater cables by the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy.

In Leeds: Andy Burnham is among the speakers at the Great North Investment Summit at the Leeds Royal Armouries. There is limited info about the summit, but it is a great museum.

Coming up: World model AI company Odyssey is teasing a big announcement for 5:30pm today, which it says will show "where world models are headed". The company is one of those backed by the Sovereign AI Unit through a compute agreement.
