Good morning and happy Wednesday,

The Morning Intelligence is looking for some freelance talent to help it grow. Please do send any top notch writers my way. This is only possible of course thanks to your support 🙏.

Now, to another crazy day of tech/politics/policy.

Happening Today 📆

Weird vibes: Setting out the long-term priorities of your government when its survival is in doubt, is a very odd situation and will make the pageantry of today's state opening of Parliament seem even more bizarre. But regardless, the government will announce up to 35 bills in the King's Speech which starts around 11:30am. (More below).

Smart cookies: TechUK hosts the "Building a Smarter State" conference. MP James Frith opens the day and other speakers include DSIT's Christine Bellamy and the government's chief technology officer Sonia Patel.

In China: Donald Trump lands in Beijing later today. He'll be followed by tech execs including Tim Cook, Elon Musk and late addition Jensen Huang.
