Forgetting Amazon
CMA chief didn’t tell MPs about AWS links.
Good morning and welcome to Wednesday.
Today's edition has two main stories. The first looks at how the chair of the Competition and Markets Authority failed to tell MPs that his main employer has strong links to AWS, despite repeated questions about his Amazon links.
The second looks at why there has been none of the panic around GPT-5.5, which we saw with Claude Mythos, even though AISI ranks its cyber capabilities just as powerfully and it has been released to the public.
